Agri-food systems currently find the conflict between the need to supply food to the human race and maintain adequate parameters in the environment to be able to generate healthy and innocuous foods. One of the alternatives to this problem is the introduction of biopesticides. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has directed producers that, in addition to endorsing its use, ecotoxicological safety must be documented. The Chemical Bioactive Center for more than 10 years has developed the evaluation of the impact of biological products obtained in different Cuban institutions (Tricosave 34, Thurisave 13, 24, 25 and 26; SevetriC 13 and 79; IHPLUS, CBQ-AgroG, Vitrofural, IBP BA5, IBPBC5) in different representative biomodels of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. The tests were carried out at use doses (Type 1) and in a static regime, according to the EPA and OECD regulations. The parameters mortality, weight variation, sublethal effects, infectivity and histopathological lesions were evaluated. An ecotoxicological safety report was issued for each product that supports its use in agriculture, as it does not show toxic effects in any of the biomodels used.
