As part of the activities for the Environment Day, this Monday the winning pioneers of the «Martí and nature» contest were awarded.

 The José Martí Cultural Society, in Villa Clara, together with the Martiano Municipal Council of Santa Clara, the Municipal Directorate of Education and the ASCUBI awarded this Monday, May 31st, the winning children of the «Martí y la Naturaleza» contest, held in salute to the Day of the Environment.

Dozens of primary school students submitted more than 150 works in different competing categories, in which the talent and creativity of the little ones prevailed.

In poetry category, the winners were Alison Rodríguez González, Amanda Álvarez Mirabal and Jorge Yunior Chávez, in that order.

In narration, the seats were occupied by Angélica Díaz Machado, Rafael Enrique Fernández Ferrer and Laura Rodríguez Cisneros. In addition, Duviel Ernesto Plana Chang received a mention.

Within the visual arts, the winners were Deilis Marta Álvarez Torres, Yadier Cepero Valdés and Lisnay Ávila Curbelo.

Similarly, special mentions were awarded to the pioneers Leonardo Hurtado Lorenzo, Noelvis Rodríguez Conde, Camila Secada Barreda, Keila Secada Barreda, Raeso Santana Álvarez and Rosalba de la Caridad Enríque González. Tomorrow the winners of the event will be announced at the provincial level.
