In Villa Clara territory, 4 prioritized areas were identified by affectations, taking into account their danger and vulnerability scenarios:
Villa Clara Tourist Keys
(Cayo Las Brujas, Cayo Ensenachos and Cayo Santa María)
Caibarién City tourist corridor. It includes sanitation works in Remedios due to its impact on the keys area.
Coastal settlements diagnosed as disappearing in 2050-2100.
Uvero Beach (Sagua la Grande), Piñón Beach and Nazabal Beach (Emilio Córdova Settlement in Encrucijada town) and Juan Francisco Beach (Camajuaní).
Coastal plain affected by salinity of soils and aquifers
Other areas and places affected: Isabela de Sagua (Sagua la Grande), La Panchita (Corralillo) and Carahatas (Quemado de Guines).
