Different actions on November 3, Day of the Cuban Archivist, approaches.
Several representatives of those who preserve the heritage of Cuba and the province, through the network of Historical Archives, expressed their experiences as November 3 approached, instituted as the Day of the Cuban Archivist.
In the press conference, which was joined by organizations in charge of preserving the historical legacy of the nation, the actions planned for the date were outlined, established by the official appointment of the Captain of the Liberation Army Joaquín Llaverías Martínez as director of the National Archive of Cuba.
The prestigious academic and researcher dedicated almost 60 years of his life to the conservation and dissemination of the stationery sheltered in that institution. Alexis Manuel García Artiles, head of the Department of Document Management and Archives of Citma, and Liset Hernández Vigo, communicator of the territorial delegation of the organization itself in Villa Clara, explained that the reminder of the event is planned, in the morning of the same Day 3, at the Monument to the Action against the Armored Train, by the Provincial Historical Archive (AHP).
Alexis Manuel García, Head of the Document Management Department of the Citma and Archive, and Liset Hernández Vigo, communicator of the territorial delegation of the organization in Villa Clara, explained how the program will be developed in the territory.
Accreditation plaques will be delivered to the workers who are celebrating their closed anniversary in their work within the territory’s file system. One day later, on November 4, the Caturla Room of the Martí Provincial Library will host another of the main actions with the recognition of the groups that have deployed a systematic and outstanding work in documentary, heritage and archival management with character provincial.
