“A few days before commemorating July 26th, this is a gift for our people. Little by little, the solar parks being inaugurated throughout the country will contribute to improving the electricity situation that affects us so much today,” said Susely Morfa González, a member of the Party’s Central Committee and its First Secretary in Villa Clara, during a meeting with the men and women who made the synchronization of the Calabazar de Sagua photovoltaic park possible in record time.

“It really turned out very beautiful; the effort is evident; there is sweat and sacrifice from many people here. Congratulations!” added the secretary during a frank exchange with workers and engineers in front of the main technological container of this clean energy generating unit, which, prior to its inauguration, already contributes more than 13 MW to the national electricity system.

Accompanied by Vice Governor Noel Chinea Pérez; the director of the Villa Clara Electric Company, Eduardo Enrique Pérez Reyes; and top local officials, Morfa González emphasized the importance of the project, given its impact on the daily lives of Cubans and what it means for each community, generating well-paying jobs that impact the well-being of families.

The Calabazar de Sagua solar park is the fourth to come online in Villa Clara and the second, with a capacity of 21.8 MW, of a total of nine to be built in this central region.

Later, at the Minerva-Ochoíta pumping station, the First Secretary of the Party in Villa Clara, Susely Morfa González, inspected the complex operation of replacing the old manifold and a 100-meter section of high-density, 1,000-millimeter pipe.

“It is very important that the work be completed within the planned eight to ten days, to restore service as soon as possible,” insisted the highest Party official in Villa Clara while speaking with Water Resources specialists.

The tour concluded at the Provincial Social Protection Center, which is about to open in Villa Clara, with capacity for 60 homeless people.

“This is a work of infinite love, where no one will be left behind,” the Party’s first secretary in Villa Clara said more than once.
