First entity in Villa Clara to formalize the links for science, technology and innovation projects that promote the productive sector. The vision that it is impossible to achieve the development of the productive organization and the knowledge bases far from the scientific foundations was demonstrated with the signing of the collaboration agreement between the Villa Clara Information and Technological Management Center (Ciget) and the Agropecuaria Militar Company (EAM) of Motembo, in Corralillo.
This is the first entity in the territory to formalize the links through a legal document that endorses science, technology and innovation projects for the productive or services sector, in order to introduce results that achieve significant impacts with the increase in productions within and outside borders.
The alliance also establishes consulting services, technical advice, scientific-technical work and project documentation, among others. Osdany Rodríguez Falcón, development director of the EAM, highlighted the importance of exchange as a legal instrument to govern relationships that will strengthen access to knowledge, to industrial property. It is without ruling out the necessary steps for the establishment of the business strategy that contributes to integrate quality management systems.
The corralillense entity is involved in a program to develop roads and the irrigation system in order to increase its production of fruit trees and grains, to which is added the boost to the newly created canning industry, dedicated to processing of pulps, sweets and tomato derivatives. “We intend to develop the cultivation of the bomb fruit and mango – our leading product – and rescue the guava plantations, affected by pests and natural phenomena,” said Rodríguez Falcón.
The productive destinations of the EAM are directed to the FAR and the economy, while its surpluses contribute to municipal self-sufficiency. The agreement signed between Ciget and the Corralillense entity will be valid for five years or until the parties consider it appropriate, and will consist of their corresponding reviews to verify compliance with the objectives.
The group from the northwest of Villa Clara processes its distinctive for market operations, and does not neglect the exportable items once the commitments have been fulfilled, as a way to increase the economic efficiency and the profits of the entity.
