As part of the day to equalize opportunities, children, adolescents and young people with disabilities, accompanied by family members and teachers, participated this Friday in the central activity in Santa Clara for the International Day of People with Disabilities, an anniversary that is celebrated celebrated every December 3, in order to promote their rights and well-being, which in our society offers them free studies and decent work in accordance with their limitations.

At the meeting, chaired by Leonardo Barreto García, coordinator of Government Programs and Objectives in Villa Clara, which was attended by other leaders of the Party and Government, mass organizations and representatives of Cuban associations of people with intellectual disabilities, limited physical motor, blind and visually impaired, and deaf. The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder) awarded recognition to athletes from the province and coaches attending the Parapan American Games who have not yet returned to the Homeland from Santiago of Chile, as well as other athletes and sporting glories.

Likewise, the Vidal Park plaza was filled with songs and poems, and the contagious joy of children and adolescents from special schools, who enjoyed participatory games, among other activities promoted by Inder.
