Information technologies in pandemic for agricultural professional competence at the IPA Antonio Guiteras Holmes de Placetas

Summary:
The present investigation is applied in the Antonio Guiteras Holmes Polytechnic Institute of the municipality of Placetas, Villa Clara, Cuba in the period of social isolation. This research has the objective of building, as a result of participatory action research, an Educational Strategy for the competent training of the professional in sustainable agriculture with the use of ICT in times of pandemic; It was applied for 2 consecutive years, it has the support of schoolchildren, teachers and the family with the use of technologies in times of pandemic. A virtual community supported by technologies was created, it has training materials for teachers and graphic evidence. The methods used were: document analysis, virtual participant observation, triangulation of sources, researcher’s diary, and informal virtual discussion groups. The results obtained were that the family was linked to the competent training of the sustainable agriculture professional in times of health crisis, had a favorable impact on teachers and schoolchildren, as well as coordination with impact tasks. A Facebook account was created that was systematically published in Educadores de la Plata where the virtual evaluation was carried out and feedback was provided. This research allowed students to use the media for their professional development, to select the information in scientific journals, regarding the pandemic, to be able to publish their experiences; Virtual support groups were developed that reduced stress in schoolchildren and the family regarding professional competence.
