Summary

The analysis of the expression of the environmental dimension in the curriculum by educational levels, from the analysis of the model, objectives, contents, textbooks and existing guidelines, to arrive at the regularities of the diagnosis of the environmental content of the acting curriculum, and determine the potential to address Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as an expression of attention to the SDGs, to the extent that the environmental content is updated. The Guiding Ideas are established, as a result of a systematization process of the main lines that allow reorienting ESD as an organic part of the public policies of the Cuban State, expressed in the processes established by the SNE and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment. Environment of Cuba, as well as what is oriented by the UN, UNESCO, CITMA and above all the educational practice of teachers of different educational levels of the SNE, as well as research carried out by the Cuban teachers, expressed in master’s and doctoral theses. With all this, progress is made in the introduction of scientific results for the teachings of the MINED and the MES, expressed in the documents in preparation.
