SUMMARY

The work aims to develop a community action plan that contributes to the education and awareness of different social actors in the community for the mitigation of climate change, adaptation to it and the reduction of its effects in the coastal settlement of Isabela de Sagua. . This is achieved by inducing participatory community processes through participatory and transformative action research, with the use of methods such as observation, interviews, group discussions, which promote knowledge, attitudes and values ​​in the face of certain problems based on education for adaptation to the climate change and the possible reduction of vulnerability. The planned environmental education actions have great social importance, promote greater knowledge about climate change, a higher level of risk perception to face the incidence in the community and favorable results in the management of natural resources and in the economy of the community. locality, associated with adaptation measures to climate change, which improves the quality of life of the inhabitants.
