The Center for Molecular Immunology (CIM) announced through social networks that the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma) awarded its special prize. It was for the most scientifically relevant work of the year to research carried out by the center on the Cuban humanized monoclonal antibody nimotuzumab in the treatment of patients with COVID-19.
The list of entities participating in it was made up of several hospitals in Havana, Matanzas and Holguín, according to the CIM.
The strategic integration between the Cuban Ministry of Public Health and the CIM made this scientific result with an impact on health a reality, the scientific institution highlighted on Twitter.
