Among the main concerns addressed at the meeting, the need to prioritize true culture and place the budget on what really has quality, due payment to musicians and the urgency of meeting artists’ criteria on the project of the new Law of Communication. Strengthening ties with the Ministry of Tourism to promote authentic culture in the North Keys and in other entities in the sector was once again the claim of the creators from Villa Clara, now in the voice of maestro Maykel Iglesias, director of Audinos Men’s Ensemble. For his part, César Ramón Irigoyen Milián, audiovisual producer and new member of UNEAC, pointed out that the organization must be a space for creative freedom and unity, and stressed that we must also bet on the training of new generations.

Roxana Pineda Labairo, actress, director of Teatro La Rosa and president of Villa Clara’s UNEAC highlighted the commitment of the affiliates in the defense of true culture and national identity in the midst of so much trivialization. “An Assembly of continuity” is how the Villa Clara governor Alberto López Díaz considers it when speaking at the meeting.

The leader exalts the interventions of the young new members of Uneac who follow the path of their predecessors and explains that cultural programming and investments in the sector represent a priority in the province.
