Invited by the prestige of this institution of excellence in Higher Education in Cuba, the 770 delegates of the event will arrive in person – as there is also the possibility of virtual participation – among them, 190 professionals from relevant universities around the world.The inaugural conference will be given next Monday by Dr. C. Agustín Lage Dávila. The prestigious Cuban scientist, who, for a quarter of a century, led with his wisdom, the Center for Molecular Immunology of Havana, will speak about industry 4.0 and the Cuban economy.In addition, the ministers of Agriculture, Labor and Social Security, Higher Education, Industries and Citma will honor the event. In total, more than 60 academic, business and ministerial personalities, Cuban and foreign, will coincide, which makes the event “an excellent opportunity to socialize the scientific and innovation results that impact the Cuban economy and society and the world and, at the same time, establish new agreements and collaboration projects and exchange experiences with authoritative voices from different regions of the world and from different areas of knowledge,” explained the vice-rector for Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. C. Raciel Lima Orozco. This edition, unlike the previous one, stands out for the return to presence of foreign participants and the development of more than 30 pre-event courses/trainings, which took place in the week that has just concluded.Lima Orozco highlights, among the most important moments that will take place in the five days of work, the delivery of an honorary degree and two guest professors, and the highlight: the scientific discussions in the sessions of the 18 events that make up the Convention .Special emphasis is placed on the III Uninnova 2023 Innovation Fair, to be held on Wednesday the 15th, a crucial moment to strengthen the leadership of the Central University and the Sociedad Interfaz Sicte S. A. in the promotion of products and services from the academic and business sector.As detailed by Dr. C. Yanet Rodríguez Sarabia, vice president of Sicte S. A., among the in-person activities to be carried out at the Fair, the establishment of the Scientific-Technological Industrial Park of the province of Villa Clara stands out.The start will be led by the prominent Spanish professor Francisco Herrera, who will give a conference on the R&D&i ecosystem (Research, development and innovation) in Granada. “As a culmination, not only will the main innovations exhibited be recognized for their impact on the strategic sectors defined by the country, but we will also recognize the 30 sponsors of this IV edition of the UCLV International Scientific Convention,” he noted.
