The CITMA in Villa Clara calls for the 17th. Edition of the Journalism and Scientific Communication Contest: “Alfredo Nieto Dopico”.
This contest has among its objectives to stimulate the search for greater quality and stability in the mass media of scientific, technological and environmental information, as well as to recognize the dissemination work carried out by journalists and specialists in this field.
All journalists, scientists, photographers, communicators in general, who have published and disseminated articles, reports, reviews, chronicles and interviews that address the life and development of science, technological innovation and the environment in the modalities of written, digital, radio, photography and television press. The works will be received from January 25 to March 25.
In coordination with the Scientific Journalism Circle of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC), the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS) and the CITMA System of Villa Clara, a jury will be formed made up of prestigious personalities from the field of communication, which will be in charge of selecting the award-winning works in each of the indicated categories.
The awards will be presented in the context of the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment to be held on April 20, 2024.
NEWSPAPERS
The nominees will present 3 copies of no less than_TWO and no more than THREE published works, identifying the name of the author, organ, publication date and subject. RADIO PRESS
Nominees will deliver a script and CD with no less than TWO and no more than THREE published works, identifying the program, date, station and time in which the work was broadcast, as well as the author’s data and the topic.
TELEVISION PRESS
Nominees will deliver no less than TWO and no more than THREE works published on CD or DVD with their published works, identifying the program, channel, date and time of broadcast, as well as the author’s information.
PHOTOGRAPHY:
Nominees will submit no less than TWO and no more than THREE works in digital or printed format with their works, identifying the data of the author, workplace and name of the work.
WEBSITES
Nominations will be made based on the quality of the content, its stable updating in the evaluated period and the excellence of the design, in general. Although the jury will visit the competing sites on the Internet, candidates must submit their application for participation and their proposals to CITMA on CD.
MULTIMEDIA
A work will be awarded for its quality, social function based on its dissemination. The nominees will submit the resume of the published works and a copy on CD.
Other ministries and institutions may award works related to themes specific to each institution, applying the most favorable method, in accordance with the objectives of the contest.
The nominated works must be delivered to the CITMA Territorial Delegation in Villa Clara, located at Candelaria No.6 e/Cuba y Colón.
