Villa Clara: a province highlighted for Cuban Science Day

Outstanding professionals from the Villa Clara scientific community were recognized in a provincial event for Cuban Science Day, regarding the anniversary that is commemorated every January 15.
Villa Clara scientific community celebrated the event for Cuban Science Day at Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara Sculpture Complex in Santa Clara, ready to continue the legacy of the Guerrilla of America. Furthermore, they bring him results with the pride of maintaining for more than 15 consecutive years the status of outstanding province in the country.
The event was chaired by Osnay Miguel Colina Rodríguez, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party, Alberto López Díaz, Governor of the territory, Dr. C María del Carmen Velasco Gómez, delegate of CITMA in Villa Clara, authorities and members of different organizations political and mass, as well as representatives of all the centers and organizations that make up the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in this geography.
Those present paid tribute to the Honorary Doctor of the “Marta Abreu” Central University of Las Villas, Sergio Juan Rodríguez Morales, director of the National Institute of Research in Tropical Viands INIVIT, Hero of Labor of the Republic of Cuba and deputy to the National Assembly of Popular Power, example of a revolutionary and tireless student of agricultural sciences, with more than 100 scientific publications and dozens of results applied to production, died in November 2023.
