With the typical joy and naturalness of children, the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara celebrates this Thursday the 30th anniversary of the “Friends of Science” Children’s House. Which it is an educational institution inaugurated in 1994 by Melba Hernández, the heroine of Moncada.

During the event, the founders (who are currently active) were recognized, including its director Leticia Díaz Paret and the cook Mileidis Escamilla González, who highlighted the pride that comes with supporting working mothers.

The occasion was also propitious for the Union Medical Bureau to deliver toys, coloring books, pencils and other implements to the children’s house. Before ending the celebration activity, Mabel Rodríguez Montero, provincial methodologist for Early Childhood in Villa Clara, congratulated the work group and urged them to continue working with so much love.

With a capacity for 32 children, the house contributes to the training of infants and benefits the working mothers of this academic center.
